Truth
how different faiths find it

A while back I was discussing the nature of truth with some people on the newsgroup soc.religion.mormon.  Mormons believe that a person can ask God for truth and wisdom, and receive it.

Someone wrote something like "What about the hindus who ask God to tell them that their faith is true?

What if they believe God reveals it to them?"

This seemed like a good question.

So I went to all the soc.religion groups and posted a message that said "How does one learn that yours is the true faith?"  Some replied that truth is irrelevant, and the others replied that you learn the truth by recognizing it when you see it. None professed a belief that God would reveal truth to them.

I saved all the answers, and put them here.
